GRAY'S CREEK WOMAN'S CLUB

To encourage and assist women in promoting higher standards of living, community involvement, and citizen responsibilities.

Who We Are

A mainstay in the community

We are a non-profit organization that has been in Gray’s Creek for generations.  The group began as a Home Demonstration Club back in the early part of the 1900s for the farm families of Gray’s Creek.  The group was rechartered in 1966 and by-laws reorganized to get the name we use today.  The women reached out as the community grew to help support those in need, such as needy families, schools, and the area fire departments. (View more history here)

We continue to help these people and organizations but have added others like the Gray’s Creek Christian Center.  Our focus of late is to provide college scholarships to seniors from Gray’s Creek High School and the upkeep of the Gray’s Creek Community Building.

What we do

Our main source of revenue to provide the above-mentioned services has been our “Gray’s Creek Woman’s Club Buffet and Bazaar” held every year on the third Thursday in October.  The first Bazaar was held in held in 1970 and the Buffet was added 1973.  It has been our main annual fund raiser since.

The quilters in Gray's Creek Woman's Club work together to create both a Raffle Quilt and a Silent Auction quilt for the annual Buffet & Bazaar.  In addition, they often make quilted craft item to sell at the Craft table.
